Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Swachch Bharath Mission evoking every citizen of our country to take interest in cleaning up their habitat.

He has also nominated nine people across India to take the idea forward that includes Actor Kamal Hasan, Sachin Tendulker, Priyanka Chopra And Salman Khan.

It was just a couple of days ago that actor Kamal Haasan accepted the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be a part of the Clean India campaign - which aims for a cleaner India by the year 2019. Now, Suriya has expressed support for this campaign.

In a statement, the actor said, "Hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness are the need of the hour. Keeping ourselves, our homes and our neighbourhood clean doesn't cost us anything. It helps everyone of us." He also reiterated the importance of providing a cleaner environment for the future generation. He said, "Passing on wealth to children is important, but giving them a clean environment to live is even more important."

The latest news is that Actor Surya has also lend his support to this idea. In a Press meet he has said that "Passing on wealth to children is important. Making them live clean is even more important.
