The shooting of Ajith's "Thala 55" is progressing well. It is expected to be wrapped up soon, after which the post-production work will commence.
Directed by Gautham Menon, "Thala 55" is tipped to be an action thriller with Ajith playing the role of a cop. Anushka Shetty and Trisha Krishnan are also part of the film's cast.

The final leg of Thala 55′s shoot is currently underway in Andhra Pradesh at Rajahmundry. The action is reportedly happening in a jail setting. With Ajith playing a cop in the film, we believe that some important scenes are currently being shot.

Harris Jayaraj has composed the songs for "Thala 55" and there will be five songs in the album. The composer revealed the starting line of Ajith Introduction song in his twitter account, which is so 'mass'y!

As reported earlier, this Gautham Menon directorial is the journey of a police man and will feature Ajith in various looks, in keeping with the time frame and his onscreen age.
