Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, produced by Dhanush under his Wunderbar Films, is caught up in a controversy over its distribution rights which has been bagged by the Srilanka-based Lyca Productions.

Lyca first got into trouble last year for the Vijay-starrer Kaththi when numerous Tamil nationalist outfits protested against the company for its alleged connections with Rajapaksa, the former Sri lankan president who has been persistently targeted by UNHRC for human rights violation against Srilankan Tamils. This time, a little known political outfit has staged a protest near the house of Rajinikanth, Dhanush’s father-in-law.
