Amid speculations that Karthik Subbaraj met Vijay recently and the two discussed a script, interesting details are emerging about the meeting between the director and the actor.

According to sources, the ‘Pizza’ and ‘Jigarthanda’ maker wanted to do a film with Ajith and was in talks with A M Rathnam. But the producer wanted him to meet Vijay and to narrate a script, as he had the call-sheet of the ‘Ilaya Thalapathi’.

“Karthik too was happy with the idea and called on Vijay recently. The script narrated by him impressed the actor and an official announcement about their first film together would be made soon,” sources add.

Rathnam, who made ‘Arrambam’, ‘Yennai Arindhaal’ and the recent ‘Vedhalam’ with Ajith, produced Vijay-starrer ‘Ghillie’ more than a decade ago, it may be recalled.
