Simbu and Anirudh fail to appear before Coimbatore police

Simbu and Anirudh
Simbu and Anirudh, who are alleged to be behind the controversial ‘Beep Song’ that is loaded with cuss words against women, today did not appear before the Coimbatore police.

As summons were served on the two asking them to turn up at Race Course police station today (December 19), security was beefed up.

But instead of Simbu and Anirudh, only their letters reached the police, which requested some time to make personal appearance.

It is to be noted that the Madras High Court on Thursday refused to stay the summons issued by police to the two over the controversial ‘Beep Song’ allegedly denigrating women.

When petitions by Simbu and Anirudh seeking quashing of the summons issued by Coimbatore police and praying for a stay came up for hearing, Justice R Subbaiah refused to stay the summons and posted the matter for further hearing to January 5.
