Lakshmy Ramakrishnan back to 'Solvathellam Unmai'
Actress-director Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, who shot to fame with the reality television show ‘Solvadhellam Unmai’, took a break from it and focussed on films. And now, she is back to anchor the show.

“The show well received across the length and breadth of the state, will now have actor-director Lakshmy Ramakrishnan back on its sets. Lakshmy Ramakrishnan after a respite of around 9 months is hosting it from 4th April 2016,” a statement from Zee Tamil said.

“Solvathellam Unmai, with Lakshmy Ramakrishnan as anchor, will be on air from Monday to Friday between 8.30 pm and 9.30 pm,” added the release.

Meanwhile, Lakshmy is done with her third directorial venture ‘Ammani’ and is gearing up to start her fourth movie. According to her, it will revolve around Chennai floods. In the past, she has made movies such as ‘Aarohanam’ and ‘Nerungivaa Muthamidathey’.

On ‘Ammani’, she said in an interview: “It will portray the spirit and attitude of the two unlikely friends. It is about the bond between two women — one, 57 (Salamma, played by Lakshmy), and the other, 82 (Ammani, played by Subbalakshmi, who appeared as Trisha's grandmother in ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa’).”
