Kollywood resumes, Kamal's 'Indian 2', Vijay's 'Master' work beings

The COVID-19 lockdown has pushed the movie industry to come to halt for almost two months. After the request from film makers, bit of comfort came once the Tamil Nadu government allowed post-production work to resume from today onwards.

Multiple project teams had been awaiting this decision, after the announcement, today movie industry immediately got off to work and the cinema works have reportedly resumed after 52 days. Now, as per the latest report, works on Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2', that had been suspended since before the lockdown have now resumed. Indian 2, has been facing a lot of hurdles ever since its inception. Fatal accident on the sets, production issues and lockdown have already put the entire cast and crew in trouble, with no scope for the shoot to resume anytime soon.

Earlier, there are speculations on the internet that the makers of the film, Lyca Productions, have decided to drop the project as they have incurred a huge loss. Reports also suggest that director Shankar has already moved on to his next project and is no longer showing interest in completing the film. However Lyca Productions, the spokesperson of the production house, clarified that the project has not been dropped. Now the editing work of the much awaited film 'Indian 2' has begun at two separate places.

Thalapathy Vijay's 'Master' has restarted its final works and Lokesh Kanagaraj already stated that the film will be ready in about fifteen days maximum. Also, the dubbing works of Vishal's 'Chakra', which is directed by MS Anandan, and Sibiraj's 'Kabadadaari', which is directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy, have begun. The graphic works of Trisha's action thriller 'Raangi' have also started.

The other films that have once again kickstarted post production are Jayam Ravi's 'Boomi', Sivakarthkeyan's 'Doctor', Nayanthara's 'Mookuthi Amman' and Sibi Sathyaraj's 'Kabadadari' and and few other films are expected to join the list in the coming days.
