With the movie theatres being closed, producers have now skipping the traditional theatrical release and are going straight to digital streaming. Amazon Prime Video has bagged a lottery in that respect with many titles making their premieres on this platform and other small shares goes to rest of the OTT players.

Everyone who was missing the experience of going to the theatres and watching new movies will now get to see some amazing new releases in the comfort of their homes. Thought there are handful of Tamil movies heading to OTT release, here are couple of them releasing this week.

MaMaKiKi

The long-delayed film featuring RJ Ramesh Thilak and filmmaker Nalan Kumarasamy among others is set to premiere on the digital platform on May 30

MaMaKiKi is a film about four friends who studied together in college. They meet at a reunion in college after 5 years of graduation. What has happened in everyone's lives in the 5 years forms the structure of the film.

Ponmagal Vandhal

Release Date: May 29
The movie revolves around Jyothika’s Venba who takes up a serial murder case and argues to correct the wrongful conviction of a person. Amazon prime started promotions for premiering the movie on May 29th.

From the trailer, the film looks like an intense court scene legal drama with Jyotika in the lead role. J. J. Fredrick is making his directorial debut with this movie and he has also written the screenplay.
