Thala Ajith is currently engaged with director H Vinoth for his 60th project 'Valimai'. Ajith was busy shooting for 'Valimai' before the coronavirus lockdown. The movie is said to be a cop story produced by Boney Kapoor, who produced Ajith's last hit 'Nerkonda Paarvai'.

With fifty percent of shoot is complete for 'Valimai', Ajith requested producer to resume the shoot for the film only after COVID-19 has been brought well under control. Meanwhile, Ajith's next project tentatively titled as Thala 61 has been going rounds on social media.

Earlier it was reported Ajith may unite with AR Murugadoss, then it was rumour that Sudha Kongara to direct Thala, but the reports were denied later. As per the latest report, Ajith may reunite with his favourite director Vishnuvardhan. If media reports to be believed, Vishnuvardhan has already narrated the script to Ajith over the phone amidst lockdown and it is said that a big production house will be bankrolling it. However, there is no official confirmation on the speculations yet, which is expected to be made very soon.

Ajith and Vishnuvardhan have earlier joined hands for 2007 blockbuster 'Billa' and super-hit 'Arrambam' which released in 2013. The duo's thrid collaboration will be a special treat for fans for sure, because the director in last two films showed Ajith in stylish, menacing and electrifying roles.

On the other hand, Vishnuvardhan awaits the release of his debut Bollywood film 'Shershaah' starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in lead roles, which is co-produced by Karan Johar.
