It is well known that Actress Vanitha Vijayakumar got married to Peter Paul per Christian customs on Saturday at her residence in Chennai.

Vanitha's two daughters from her previous marriages; Jovika and Jaynitha were present as bridesmaids along with few close friends and family in a small elegant manner due to coronavirus lockdown. The photos of the wedding have been going rounds on the internet.

Meanwhile, Kollyinsder reported earlier today that Peter Paul’s first wife, Elizabeth Helen, has made a complaint against him at Vadapalani police that Peter has remarried without legally divorcing her.

When Vanitha was not available to respond earlier, she reacted to the complaint now stating Paul's first wife is raising the issue for money and is demanding one crore rupees but both she and her husband don't have that much money. She added that Elizabeth has in fact separated eight years back and her complaint after the wedding is just a ploy for extortion and she and Paul would handle the issue legally.

Before marrying Paul, Vanitha was earlier married to television actor Akash and businessman Anand Jay Rajan. After divorcing Anand, she was dating dance choreographer Robert.

Vanitha's popularity rose after her participation in reality show Bigg Boss Tamil season 3, hosted by Kamal Haasan. Post Bigg Boss, she was active in television shows 'Cook with Comali' and as a judge in 'Kalakka Povathu Yaaru'. After winning the title in 'Cook with Comali' she started her own YouTube channel for cooking. Vanitha mentioned she fell in love with Peter, when he was helping her setup YouTube channel.
