We reported two days ago that popular actor and stuntman Ponnambalam has been hospitalized due to kidney-related ailments. Kamal Haasan came forward to bear the educational expenses of Ponnambalam’s children.

Meanwhile, Super Star Rajinikanth has extended his support to Ponnambalam. Rajini’s spokesperson has said that the super star will take care of the entire medical expense of Ponnambalam. Rajini enquired about Ponnambalam’s health and wished him a speedy recovery.

"Rajini sir spoke to Ponnambalam personally and has agreed to help him. He won't disclose the amount he has given the family. He also wished for a speedy recovery.", he said.

Ponnambalam shared screen space with Rajinikanth in films like 'Muthu' and 'Arunachalam'. 'Apoorva Sagodarargal' and 'Michael Madana Kamarajan' are some of the films Ponnambalam acted with Kamal Haasan.

Ponnambalam was last seen in Jayam Ravi starrer 'Comali', directed by Pradeep Ranganathan.
