Thala Ajith’s upcoming movie, 'Valimai', one of the most anticipated movies has completed almost 60 percent of shoot before the lockdown. It was reported earlier that the makers of the film decided to resume the shoot only after the situation comes back to normalcy and they were not in a hurry to start the filming again. It also reported that the team was planning to shoot some portions overseas after the situation is well contained.

Since the central and state government has given permissions to resume the film and TV shoots, the latest update about the film is that Ajith has given nod to start the shooting of 'Valimai'. Reports suggest that the shooting will likely to resume by next month with Ajith. Boney Kapoor, producer of this film has been delighted hearing this news and is ensuring that the safety precautionary measures are followed there strictly so the crew members are safe.

Now, the biggest threat is that if the film release is pushed to the second of the next year there will be almost two years gap of Ajith's presence on big screens. So, Ajith and the team have hope to resume the shooting of 'Valimai' from November, hoping to release in Summer 2021. Also, it won't be a surprise if Ajith's 'Valimai' clashes with Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Annaatthe' at the 2021 Summer box office.

Ajith is playing the role of a police officer in 'Valimai', and the story of the film is reportedly based on racing. The much-expected film also has Yami Gautam, Ileana D'Cruz and Huma Qureshi as female leads. This H. Vinoth directorial will be bankrolled by Boney Kapoor under his production banner Bayview Projects LLP. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing music for the film, and Nirav Shah will be handling the camera.
