Music director turned actor G.V.Prakash Kumar's upcoming film 'Jail' is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Vasantabalan and features 'Enga Veetu Mappillai' fame Abarnathi as the female lead.

While the first single titled 'Kaathodu Kaathanen', a romantic duet with vocals by Dhanush and Aditi Rao Hydari was released in June, GV Prakash earlier announced the second single titled ‘Pathu Kaasu’ from the film will be released today, Aug 18.

Director Pa Ranjith and Karthik Subbaraj released the single ‘Pathu Kaasu’ - Friendship Anthem today in their twitter handle. The song is penned by young sensation, Arivu, who is known for songs like ‘Maara Theme’, ‘Vaathi Raid’, etc and sung by GV Prakash himself.

Produced by Sridharan Maridhasan under the banner of Krikes Cine Creations, ‘Jail’ is reported to revolve around an housing board area. The cast includes Radikaa Sarathkumar and Nandanram, among others and the film is also expected to release in Telugu and Hindi.

Jail has music composed by G.V.Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Ganesh Chandra and editing by Raymond Derrick Crasta. The film had some various release issues before the lockdown and now the makers sorted out the issues and ready for release. We can expect Jail to hit the screens after the pandemic. Interestingly, GV Prakash made his debut as a music director in Vasanthabalan’s critically acclaimed 'Veyil', which released in 2006.
