SP Balasubrahmanyam test positive for coronavirus
Reports emerged that Singer-actor SP Balasubrahmanyam has been hospitalised in Chennai after testing positive for coronavirus.
Confirming the same the 74-year old playback singer shared a video and announced that he has tested positive to Covid-19 and got himself admitted to a hospital.

"Last 2-3 days I’ve been having some discomfort - chest congestion, phlegm, cold and fever on and off. I didn’t have any other problem, but I didn’t take it easy, went to the hospital and got checked. They said it is a very mild positive of coronavirus and you can stay home and self-quarantine while taking medications," he can be heard saying in the video.

He added that the decision to get himself admitted to the hospital was only for resting and recuperating comfortably while avoiding risk to his family.

“Thanks for the concern. Lots of people called I could not attend to so many calls. I have come here mostly to take rest, so there won’t be disturbance and take the medication,” he said. The doctors, he said, informed he had a very very mild case of Coronavirus infection, adding: "In two days I will get discharged and I will be home.”

Once again reiterating that he does not have any major issues, SP Balasubrahmanyam requested people to not call him to ask about his health as he is doing absolutely fine.
