SP Balasubrahmanyam's health condition is stable, says his family

We reported today that the health condition of legendary playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam had deteriorated because of COVID-19 infection and was moved to the ICU of the MGM Healthcare, Chennai as per the statement issued by the hospital officials.

Meanwhile Balasubrahmanyam’s son, SP Charan, and sister SP Vasantha, said that their father was seriously unwell earlier on Friday but had recovered by evening.

SP Charan told media in Chennai stating that his dad is currently in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) under ventilation but his condition is stable and that he was doing much better under the care of the doctors. There is no cause for concern and he will get better, Charan said. He also asked SPB's fans not to believe in rumours.

SP Vasantha said her brother’s will power was strong and with the prayers of all his well-wishers and God’s grace, he will fully recover soon and will come back home safe and sound.

At the time of being admitted to the hospital, the singer put out a video saying he has only mild COVID-19 symptoms and that he would recover soon and assured fans of his good health.

The legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam is an exceptional artist whose career spans more than five decades and we wish him a speedy recovery.
