TOI reports says, his two daughters had took up the NEET exam on Sunday, and his wife had gone along with them, leaving him alone in their house. On their return, they found him unconscious and rushed him to a hospital in Tambaram. Denied admission at Tambaram hospital he was admitted to another private hospital and later shifted to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital, due to lack of funds to cover his medical expenses, where they diagnosed him and found problems with his lungs, liver and kidneys.

The director had not realised that he had such problems and was living with mild discomfort. While they did dialysis this morning, the doctors couldn't save his life and he passed away while still in an unconscious state.
