It is well known that Kollywood's celebrated director Lokesh Kanagaraj is directing Kamal Haasan 232nd film under his own banner Raaj Kamal Films International.

A couple of weeks back, Kamal Haasan released the theme poster of his next film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, which is touted to be a political drama.

Now there is new report from the tinsel-town that Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International has signed Lokesh Kanagaraj for yet another film, in which Simbu is playing the lead role.

“The next film, which will be technically Lokesh’s fifth project, will have Simbu playing the lead. Kamal Haasan had called up Simbu last week to discuss the possibility of doing a film that will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.”, says sources.

After Simbu expressed interest, Kamal Haasan is expected to arrange for a narration once Simbu is back in Chennai. “The actor is currently in Kerala practising kalaripayattu for Maanadu. He has a film with Suseenthiran that will be shot in Dindigul,” the source added.

Superstar Rajinikanth's film with Lokesh Kanagaraj has been confirmed by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films and was planned to launch with an official Pooja on March 5, 2020. However it has been postponed due to COVID-19 and Rajini's 'Annaatthe' commitments.

There were rumours couple of months back that STR aka Simbu will be replacing Rajinikanth in a film directed by Lokesh, produced by Raaj Kamal Films.

According to reports, Simbu is doing a complete rural entertainer with director Suseenthiran and the makers are planning to begin the pre-production work in October. Suseenthiran recently met STR at his residence and discussed on the possibilities of collaborating together.

A couple of weeks before the lockdown, there were reports that Mysskin will be directing STR in his next, but no official update yet. Now Mysskin has started working on 'Pisasu II' with Andrea.
