Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film will be directed by AR Murugadoss and has been tentatively titled 'Thalapathy 65'.

This marks the fourth collaboration of director - actor combo after grand success of 'Thuppakki', 'Kaththi' and 'Sarkar'.

Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, AR Murugadoss is currently working on the pre-production of the film, which is touted to be an action-entertainer. SS Thaman has been roped in to compose music for it.

The film is planning to go on floors after the release of ‘Master’, also talks are going on to kick start the film in February 2021.

According to the latest reports, Vijay will be seen in dual role like his earlier movies 'Kaththi', 'Mersal' and 'Bigil'. Report suggests that the dual characters are of same age. AR Murugadoss already director Vijay in similar dual role for blockbuster hit 'Kaththi'.

Meanwhile, Murugadoss is also producing a web series that will feature Vani Bhojan of Oh My Kadavulae fame in the lead role.

On the other hand, Vijay is waiting for the release of his much-anticipated film, 'Master', directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Produced by XB Film Creators, 'Master' features Vijay Sethupathi, Andrea Jeremiah, Malavika Mohanan, Arjun Das, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Gouri Kishan in important roles.
