Vijay Sethupathi, Nithya Menen and Indrajith Sukumaran will co-star in the upcoming Malayalam film, 19(1)(a), directed by debutante Indhu VS
Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen's upcoming Mollywood film has been titled '19(1)(a)'.
'19(1)(a)' is bankrolled by by Anto Joseph, is written and will be helmed by Indhu VS, making her directorial debut. The movie is set to go on floors from Thursday.
Vijay Sethupathi shared the first look poster of the film on social media post and wrote: "Here it is 19(1)(a) first look poster.@nithyamenen @indrajith_s@19_1_a #AntoJosephFilmCompany Written & Directed by @indhusss."
Nithya also shared the same image on Instagram and wrote: "Announcing an exciting new film ! Going on floors tomorrow !! " 19 (1)(a) " with my talented debut director @indhusss and cast@actorvijaysethupathi @19_1_a@indrajith_s @actorindrans."
Menen was last seen on the big screen earlier this year in Tamil thriller “Psycho” and made her digital debut with Amazon Prime Video’s “Breathe: Into The Shadows”.
On the otherhand, Vijay Sethupathi recently opted out of Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan’s biopic following opposition, with a section alleging that the spinner was a betrayer of the Tamil people and supported the then Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa during the 2009 civil war.

Touted to be a realistic drama, the film also stars Indrajith Sukumaran and Indrans. Indrajith when talking about the film says, “I am playing an important character in the film which is a realistic drama with social relevance and requires strong performances from all characters. The movie has an intense story reflecting the current social political scenario.”
