Bhavana, the beautiful girl from Kerala, was last seen on Tamil screen in R. Kannan's 'Jeyamkondan' opposite Vinay.  The film fetched good collection but it did not fetch any new offer to Bhavana.  

Bhavana, who was waiting for a break after 'Jeyamkondan', was upset and tried her luck in Tollywood and Kannada films without much success. However she got a big offer of starring opposite Ajit in his upcoming film 'Asal', directed by Saran.

Stung by the 'Jeyamkondan' experience, Bhavana tried her best to land another big film in her kitty and even sent her manager from where was shooting in Bangkok but it didn't happen the way she wanted it to be.  Wherever her manager approached, the reply always remained the same: we would wait till 'Asal' releases!
