Porkalam is produced by T Bhaskar Rao under the banner Bharani Minerals. Kishore has done the lead role. Bunty Sarojkumar has directed this film.

While speaking about this film, he said,” I have not worked as an assistant under any director. I studied my film making course in Thailand. I wanted to experiment the techniques I have learnt. So I am directing this film Porkalam.

I have used saturated light normally used for sad flash backs and high contrast lighting for this film’s cinematography. This film is about a person who has no ambition in his life and how he faces the five villains for girl sake. For the first time we have used the Strata Crane for this action film.
