After giving the block buster 'Suriyan' with Sarath Kumar and Roja in the lead, director Pavithran is back into the industry. Pavithran was working in a place in Madhurai called ‘Mattuthavani’ for his comeback venture titled ‘Mattuthavani’.

We hear that the director was test shooting the climax scene of the film during the night time. And despite the fact that the shoot was happening in the wee hours, families in local were very much interested to watch the filming. It happened that the people who were present during the shoot were emotionally moved when the film’s hero Ram cried for a particular scene.

‘Mattuthavani’ is a rustic story that revolves around the local bus stop of that area. It talks about the story of a poor guy who stays in that bus stop and works to study. What happens when this guy falls in love with a rich girl is ‘Mattuthavani’ all about.

‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’ Soori and ‘Pasanga’ Vimal are acting in this one in important roles.
