Mammootty – Prithviraj Pokkiri Raja postponed

The Mammootty-Prithviraj combo's eagerly-awaited Pokkiri Raja, which marks the Malayalam debut of South Indian beauty Shriya Saran, has been postponed to May 6 due to the ongoing standoff between distributors and theatre owners in the state.
The film, written and directed by debutant Vysakh (a former assistant of Joshi and Johnny Antony), was supposed to hit screens on April 30. Pokkiri Raja is releasing in 84 centres within the state and in 31 centres outside Kerala.
Meanwhile, we hear that Pokkiri Raja's team has cancelled the scheduled London shoot of a song 'Manikinavin Kothumbu Vallam' at the last minute as Prithviraj, who features in this song with Shriya, couldn't get his visa ready in time.

Notably, the song, composed by Jassie Gift, is steadily climbing the list of chart-busters. According to reports, the director has now decided to picturize the song with the available shots with the help of editor Mahesh Narayanan.
Featuring Mammootty and Prithviraj as brothers, the movie is produced by Mulagupadam Films. It has Nedumudi Venu, Thilakan, Siddique, Saikumar, Innocent, Sooraj Venjaranmoodu and Salimkumar also in the cast.
