Mankatha is a film which has Ajith in the lead role which is being directed by Venkat Prabhu. This is Ajith's 50th film. There was news that the film has been dropped because of money problems.
When asked Venkat Prabhu about this, he said," The news that Mankatha has been dropped has hurt me very much. There were no problems in the shooting. We had completed the shooting in Bangkok and have returned.
Now we are shooting in Chennai. A huge set of Mumbai's Dharavi has been erected . The shooting is taking place there. Because of the rain, the sets got damaged and because of this we cancelled the shooting for a day. Most of the talkie portions have been shot. At this point, I don't understand that how such rumors are being spread."
