Music composer Gangai Amaran has denied reports appeared in a section of the media that he called on Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapkse recently and promised to produce a film on Lankan Tamils on behalf of the island government.
Speaking to media reporter over phone, he said in his typical style, “In fact, I am not going to produce a film in association with Rajapakse. But with US President Barack Obama and French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The movie would have Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan and Vijayakanth in lead roles.”
Laughing at those media reports, he said, “I am not at all irked by such baseless gossips. Since this morning, I am laughing non-stop, admiring the imagination of the one who had written it.”
The gossip-style report claimed that the music composer would produce a film, to be directed by his son (Venkat Prabhu), which would present a picture that ‘all is well’ for Tamils in Sri Lanka.
