Kamal’s Viswaroopam shelved - US Consulate rejected the visas

Viswaroopam shelved

Kamal Haasan's Viswaroopam directed by Selvaraghavan was supposed to start today, April 20 but the film has been postponed as the US Consulate rejected the visas for the unit members. The team applied for Visa for a 40 day schedule which was the first schedule to happen. Directed Selvaraghavan was high on sky as he got an opportunity to direct Universal star Kamal Hassan but with the latest happening he got upset and moved to his prior project Irandam Ulagam.

The team has tried getting Visa through various sources but was unable to get finally. The unofficial reason behind rejection is the plot of the film which is based on Terrorism. Since the term Terrorism is a negative word for American authorities, this might have turned as a reason for denying the Visa. Now the project has been stalled for sometime.

Selvaraghavan is now busy at Kannur in Kerala filming for UTV’s Irandam Ulagam which stars his brother Dhanush and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead roles.
