UTV Motion Pictures bagged the theatrical and other rights of Cheran’s Muran.

The film features Cheran, Prasanna, Jaya Prakash, Hari Priya, Nikhita, Prathap Pothan and others.

UTV issued a press statement which states"Muran is one of the finest action thriller so far in Tamil cinema and the film carries an outstanding script written and directed by, the associate of Mysskin, Rajan Madhav. The film has completed 70 percent of shoot and by watching the rough copy which was shot so far UTV decided to snap the rights of the film. UTV Motion Pictures is plans to release Muran mostly by June".

UTV Motion Pictures will first release Muran which will be followed by Erandum Ulagam directed by Selvaraghavan. Music is by Sajjan Madhav. Muran is produced by Cheran's Dream Theatres.
