Samuthirakani is busier than an actor rather than a director. His performance in Subramaniapuram and Easan has earned his great applause and now the actor- director is all set to star in a film titled Saattai.

Saattai is directed by M Anbazhagan, a former associate of Prabhu Solomon, while it is produced by popular director Prabhu Solomon, in association with John Max (’Mynaa’ producer) under Shalom Studios banner.

M Anbazhagan says "Saattai will highlight the importance of teaching which is the highly respected profession is. Samuthirakani will essay the role of a school teacher while Yuvan will be the other leading actor. Thambi Ramaiah is doing an important role.

Besides his acting career Samuthirakani is busy directing his good friend Sasikumar for Poraali which is progressing on a brisk pace.
