The music of Vijay's Velayudham, directed by Jayam Raja, is all set to be launched in Madurai on August 28, 2011. Interestingly, the Vijay-Vijay Anthony combo has never failed at the box office so far. In an exclusive interview, Vijay has assured that everyone will like the peppy tracks of Velayudham. "Vijay Anthony has really done a great job in the film. All the songs have come out very well and I am sure that it will be a treat for the audience," Vijay said.

Asked about the film's super hero subject, he said, "It's every actor's dream to star in a super hero subject and I am sure that this film will definitely fulfill all the expectations. There is a breathtaking action sequence in a train which is one of my favourite scenes in the film. The wait for Velayudham was very long, and now I am sure that the film will succeed at the bx office."

On behalf of the entire film industry, Vijay also requested people to avoid watching film in pirated CDs.
