Ace director-cum-actor of Tamil cinema, SA Kannan who has many evergreen hits to his credit passed away due to a massive cardiac attack. The 82 year old man had acted in small roles in legendary Tamil films like ‘Parasakthi’ and ‘Veerapandiya Kattabomman’.

He also directed emotional dramas featuring Sivaji Ganesan, like ‘Vietnam Veedu’ and ‘Thangapadakkam’. He has also directed full-length feature films like ‘Sathyam’ and ‘Geetha Oru Sembagapoo’.
