Nithya Menon is all set do the remake of yesteryear Malayalam film Chattakari that was released in 1974. The film one of the most popular films during the seventies and had veteran actress Laxmi in the protagonist role.

Now our bubbly-chirpy actress is in consideration play the titular role in the remake and strong buzz is that the actress might give her nod to the film. Actress Laxmi has made her debut with this film and her role in the film was well received by the audiences. The Tamil remake will be directed by Santhosh Sedhumadhavan and will be produced by Suresh Kumar.

Nithya Menon was last seen in Veppam where she impressed the audiences with soft natured character. Well, we have to wait and see whether the actress will sign the film on dotted line or not.
