The Bachchan Bahu- Aishwarya Rai is having her ‘god bharai’ or baby shower today. While Aishwarya is eight months pregnant, the baby is expected sometime in November.



Amitabh Bachchan had first announced the news of Aishwarya's pregnancy on Twitter, since then her fans and the Bollywood fraternity are expecting the baby's arrival with a bated breath, as it would be India’s first star baby.

Incidentally, the only person, who was most enraged after Aishwarya’s pregnancy reports was director Madhur Bhandarkar, as his project Heroine got stalled in the middle. The movie had some scenes that required Aishwarya to smoke and pose under a waterfall. None of the scenes were safe for a pregnant lady. Thus, Aishwarya was dropped from the project and Kareena replaced her.
Aishwarya has not made too many public appearances since June. Aishwarya made an appearance, hiding her baby bump with a dupatta at a Mata Ki Chowki hosted by Sanjay Dutt recently and was also spotted at the Durga Puja hosted by Rani Mukerji.

However, soon to be Grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan is missing all the fun and celebrations as he is busy shooting for Great Gatsby in Australia. While, Asha Parekh, Babita Kapoor and Saira Bano were seen during the God Bharai ceremony.
