Gautham Vasudev Menon who had given last year's romantic musical Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya that went on to become a super hit, that post the film's success Simbu and Trisha became a hot couple or rather we must say Karthik and Jessi became a hot shot romantic jodi.

Now the Nadunissi Naaygal director who is working on yet another romantic film a tri-lingual Neethane En Ponvasantham with Jeeva and Samantha in the lead says that post the film's release Jeeva would surpass Simbu.

Gautham informs that Karthik and Jessi being the popular romantic couple image will change when Neethane En Ponvasantham arrives. He is sure that Jeeva will score over Simbu.

We wonder how these statements would be interpreted, given that Simbu and Jeeva had a clash of sorts (at least as reported by a section of media) during the Ko release.

Mis understandings took place, as Ko was a huge success and we all know that Ko was initially offered to Simbu who had rejected citing some reasons that his image would not suit the role and that he is not Ready to pair up with Karthika.
