Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Mega director Shankar’s combo Nanban is confirmed for 2012 Pongal release. The film is the remake of Bollywood’s biggest blockbuster 3-Idiots starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor.


Nanban is being produced by Gemini Film Circuit (GFC) also featuring Jiiva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj in prominent roles and sexy siren Ileana in the female lead role. The shooting has been wrapped up recently and the post-production works are under progress. The audio composed by Harris Jayraj is expected to be launched in the early December on a grand scale.

Confirming this Shankar said, “Nanban shooting 100% completed. Since Velayudham is releasing on Diwali, Nanban will be for Pongal. And the audio will start rocking your ears from December. All is well!”
