Simbu refuses for Osthi shoot, troubling producer

Silambarasan, who is playing the role of modern day Robin Hood in Osthi, seems to be troubling the makers of the forthcoming Tamil film. Their hesitation to release the film during Diwali has irked him and has made him to give them tough times.

If reports are to be believed, Silambarsan was unhappy after Osthi filmmakers withdrew his movie from Diwali race. The actor, who had announced that the forthcoming movie would release for the festive season, was upset on the movie bosses, as it hit his prestige badly. So, the actor is not co-operating with them and refusing to shoot the remaining portions of the movie.

Reports further claim that still a song and quite a few scenes are pending to be shot. However, the makers of the film are in peace talks and Silamabarasan seems to be okay after the audio release function.

Osthi is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg, which starred Salman Khan in the lead. In the Tamil version, Simbu, Richa Gangopadhyay, Revathi and others are in the cast. It is expected to hit the screens on November 11.

Update

Kollywood is abuzz with rumours that Simbu has not been too co-operative recently.

According to the grapevine, he was initially quite upset that Osthe, which had been nearing completion in one straight 95-day schedule and was to be a Deepavali release, was pushed because of two other big releases. Apparently, he refused to shoot the remaining portions which included a song for the Dabanng-remake. The Osthe unit had headed out recently to the Middle East to complete the song.

Reveals a source, when the team went to Muscat initially, Simbu allegedly refused to step out of his room for two days and start shoot. The team then apparently shifted to Dubai where they started shooting the song. In fact, actress Richa Gangopadhyay, who reprises Sonakshi's role in the flick, had said on her networking page that they were busy shooting in a mall in Dubai for the film.

The team then rushed back to Chennai for the audio launch last week and sources said they were set to go back to Dubai to complete the song shoot. But now, we hear that the song will be completed in Bangalore itself. However, when we quizzed director Dharani about these rumours of Simbu being difficult, he denied them saying, "Everything is going smoothly."
