Actor-director Parthipan was rejected by Bharathiraja after a test shoot for his upcoming film ‘Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum’. Parthipan expressed his pain of being rejected from the film to ‘Iyankkunar Imayam’.


The agony of Parthipan was conveyed to Bharathiraja through media news and now Bharathiraja has reacted to the feelings of Parthipan. “For the character ‘Kattuviriyan’ Ameer looked a perfect fit far more than Parthipan. He was rejected as he looked very innocent for the character. But, I wanted a man of coarse-look. I saw it in director Ameer. Yes, I understand the feelings of Parthipan. I should have conveyed him being rejected directly. But, I can justify his rejection,” says the veteran director.

‘Annakkodiyum Kodiveeranum’ just went on floors with Ameer, Iniya and Karthiga of ‘Ko’ fame at Theni. Directors K. Balachander, Mani Ratnam, K. Bhagyaraj and Karthiga’s mother and yesteryear heroine actress Radha were present when the shooting kick-started.
