Ambuli 3D - no misunderstanding with Parthiban

Ambuli the first ever-stereoscopic 3D film in Tamil cinema has garnered a lot of attention for its technical wizardry.

Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan, the duo who won appreciation for their novel attempt in their debut Orr Iravu (the story was narrated from camera point of view) are the directors of this sci-fi film.

Talking about the film they say, "We have taken inspirations from folklore and Ambuli tells the story of a village which is soaked in superstitions. Ambuli means 'moon' and it is a moon light mystery."

While actor/director Parthiepan plays the powerful cameo, Kalairani, Uma Riyaz Khan and Thambi Ramaiah are among the supporting cast.

The duo denies any misunderstanding between them and Parthiepan while dubbing (as he felt some of his portions have been shot with a dupe) as reported in the media earlier.

"Parthiepan wanted his recent offering Vitthagan to release as his 50th film. So, he requested us to release Ambuli later. That was misconstrued! He was cooperative.”

Sathish handles the crucial cinematography for this 3D film. For the first time producer Loganadhan is converting 150 screens in Tamil Nadu into 3D format and will release Ambuli in mid Feb.
