The most awaited movie of the Pongal, Nanban completed its censor formalities and received clean 'U' certificate.
Recently, film makers submitted first copy of the Nanban to censor board for certification and the members of the Censor Board felt happy with the movie and awarded with a clean "U" certificate without any cuts.

It is known that, Nanban is a remake of the Bollywood all time blockbuster movie '3 Idiots'. However, the inside sources says that director Shankar has made few changes to the script to suit the Tamil audiences. Vijay's performance will be best in his career. As per the talk, entire ragging sequence will be main highlight for the film. Dialogues, background score, music and cinematography are at the best.

Heroes Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth are playing the male lead roles. Ileana is playing the female lead role. The movie is dubbed to Telugu and is releasing as 'Snehithuda'. Gemini Film Circuit is producing the movie. Harris Jayraj is scoring the music for the film.
