Silambarasan, the multi-talented artist and the son of producer T.Rajendar turns 27 today. So, viewers join kollyinsider to wish the beloved star many more happy returns of the day.


STR has played unaccredited roles as a child artist in his dad's production in about 11 films. The star has debuted as hero in 2002 with Kadhal Azhivathillai, but achieved recognition with Manmadhan.
Simbu has many hit films but Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa directed by Gautham Menon brought him the first Film Fare.

Simbu's direction debut was with Manmadhan, as a part of it was directed by him. But his full fledged directorial was with Vallavan. The actor, director, lyricist and playback singer is recently doing an album that has lyrics penned by him using 96 languages. The album was tentatively tiled Love Anthem- For World Peace, track is recorded in the Studio Zappa with Élan Morrison playing Keyboard and sung by STR himself.

The star actor, who also made special appearances in many films, presently has three films in his kitty Podaa Podi with Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar, Vettai Mannan pairing opposite bubbly girl Hansika and Vetrimaaran directorial Vada Chennai.
