Veteran filmmaker K S Ravikumar is going great guns this 2012. He has had the privilege of directing both the superstars of Tamil cinema Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan in several movies and has established himself as a successful filmmaker.

Ravikumar is doing two projects this year with Rajinikanth. ‘The funny thing is, I am used to taking other’s scripts for my movies, but here I am doing the story, screenplay and dialogue and supervising the direction of Kochadaiyaan for Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya who will in turn direct it into a full-length animation work based on the images I shoot. By year end, I will resume work on Rana’.

Ravikumar adds, ‘we are giving him enough time to fully recover before he can take on the pressures of Rana. Surprising is how Rajni is getting more popular with age. His market value is shooting up’.
