STORY:
Ramachandran aka Ram (Atharva) a Chennai based software engineer comes to Bangalore for a project work and meets Charu (Amala Paul) hails from a rich family in USA and daughter of Kingpin in IT Empire. She comes to India for establishing her potentials on own strength.

The two come as a team to work on a project to create software to prevent the radiation generated from radioactive machines and instruments to prevent the human race from hazardous diseases. Everything goes fine and they start sharing special likeliness for each other.

But story takes a different turn when she goes missing and Ram chases a bunch of baddies as Charu had some problems with her. Till the plot starts unfolding and the love story slowly turns into a psychological thriller.

Despite its hiccups, MUK works as a suspenseful thriller, sucking you into its drama even though you may have figured out where the story is going.

PERFORMANCE:
Hero Atharva approaches his role with an unmatched fervor. He is good but has miles to go in the histrionics department and voice modulation. Atharva’s dancing skills gets us awestruck. Atharva might be just 2-films old, but his performance is completely unmatchable to his debut film Baana Kaathadi. He has improvised a lot and lot.

Heroine Amala Paul, who has worked a lot and put up more efforts to get her role well sketched.
Santhanam’s comedy tracks are so enjoyable and his take on IT professionals is a real fun.

Jayaprakash is his affable self, while Anupama Kumar as Ram’s mother is good.

G.V. Prakash rocks with songs and especially the background score.

Cinematography is top-notching and it’s far beyond excellence with the visuals of Las Vegas.
Eldred Kumar deserves all praises for spending good amount of money for best effects.

The film marks the debut of producer Eldred Kumar as a director and his writing is really brilliant that it keeps the audiences focused on the screens throughout the show. To be precise, you won’t get distracted even for a scene. It is worth mentioning that Eldred Kumar has been a part of script team in almost all the movies he has produced and his work is appreciable here.

COMMENTS:
MUK is a time pass entertainer and will have great welcome in all centers.
This is a perfect film that will keep the audiences engaged from beginning till end.

Atharva always dreams of a beautiful girl in his life and what happens if the same girl Amala  Paul comes real in his life is the story of ‘Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal’.

Performance

It’s all about performances of actors and directorial skills of Eldred Kumar. Atharva might be just 2-films old, but his performance is completely unmatchable to his debut film Baana Kaathadi. He has improvised a lot and lot. Doubtlessly, he is sure to make big time and with Bala’s project ready to strike, this guy has a promising career here now. This should have been his debut movie.

Analysis

The film marks the debut of producer Eldred Kumar as a director and his writing is really brilliant that it keeps the audiences focussed on the screens throughout the show. To be precise, you won’t get distracted even for a scene. It is worth mentioning that Eldred Kumar has been a part of script team in almost all the movies he has produced and his work is appreciable here.
The first half moves with some suspense that it has all entertainment quotients in right blend. The film revolves around Ramachandran aka Ram (Atharva), who holds a prominent position in an IT company. There are some love stories in tamil cinema which is a trendsetter or it may be the first of its kind, MUK is the story which is first of its kind, the story of MUK is definetly new to tamil cinema, but all the unique attempts are not successful all the time,Lets see whether MUK hits the bull's eye or not.

To start with Atharva done his job to the perfection, be in the Romantic sequence, sentiments ,action he is the man to look out for, especially the stunts in this film is better than "Ayan" which is a trendetter in stylish action sequences. Kudos to the stunt master Rajasekar who did a wonderful job, definetly Atharva has a bright future in tamil cinema.

Amala paul, definetly this girl is going to rule the kollywood atleast a decade ,she is too good in acting ,which she proved in Mynaa but she is good in glamour too.,this girl will go places, her acting and way of expressing emotion is fairly good.

Nasser,Jayaprakash did their job well and santham disappointed us in first half but the second half sequences are too good.

But the show stealer is "Anupama kumar" who played as mother for Atharva, she played her role beautifully and one can claim it as award winning performance.

GV Prakash kumar's music is really the main backbone of the movie, especcially Kangal neeyey number is amazing and couple of other songs like Mazhai pozhiyum, orumurai is also good.his bgm work is improving film by film,Kudos GV.

Elred Kumars production ,story , and direction is good considering the "Debutant" factor. DOP Shakthi's picturization is also good.

The major Minus is the film's pace especially in first half,of course it is done in order to grab the attention of viewers but wonder whether it will work with "B" and "C" centers

Another Minus is the dialogues are artificial in some places but in some places it is good too.

Here’s the one-line story of Muppozhudum Un Karpanaigal. Actually it’s not so easy that youcan condense the story into a single line – after all the twists and turns the movie is packed with.Really now! There are just so many of them you kind of lose track of them. Yeah all of them andyou feel pointless for having stepped into the theatre after one point of time.

Coming back to the story now, it tells the story of a grown up man who can’t live without hismother and believes he found a girl in Amala Paul after he meets her. But what happens to himafter he parts with Amala Paul also? Now that’s the story. But the story travels all over the placesand you end up tearing up your hair.

The movie is directed as if it’s an ad film. You have pretty shots, songs and everything elsethroughout. So in the beginning of the movie Atharvaa hugs Amala Paul. And vice versa. And this happens in immediate succession throughout the movie. And this is also pepperedwith songs. And dialogues, yes how can we forget that. There are dialogues that could put thecheesiest and the most melodramatic of television serials to shame.

Atharvaa saves the day with his performance but what’s seriously the point with a story likethis – I mean yeah there is supposed to be a story. So Atharvaa has taken up a role that is quiteopposite of what he did in his debut movie as a slumdog. Even though he’s not responsible forthe complex story and the characterization, you feel pity for Atharvaa himself. So in effect,Atharvaa looks sometime like a romantic hero and sometimes dressed up weirdly and goes on akilling spree. And in fight sequences, he is upside down like ‘Naan Kadavul’ Arya.

There is no question for anything even remotely logic in the movie. Despite knowing thatAtharvaa is on a killing spree, the IG does not take any action and lets him loose. But if you areready to pardon the director for that sin, the head doctor who comes right after utters a dialoguesaying that it’s not a matter of concern for him since the police have given up on him. Really?

In the end, there are only two things in the movie that’s worth mentioning. Cinematography and art direction. While the cinematography brings out the beauty of many locales brilliantly, art direction makes one wonder if such a talent is wasted in a movie like this. Although the songs are good, they prove pointless and their pace is screwed. Especially the item song in the second half is unbearable.

While we have the slightest feeling that the story had little scope, the direction seals every hope of the movie being any good.

While the biggies have gushed through the festive occasion of first month, it’s time for romantic celebration for this Valentine season. Producer Eldred Kumar, well versed with script work and production designing has proved of his adeptness over churning out blockbusters one after the other. Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya and Ko have been the best illustrations and now it’s time for his debut directorial. Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal – The moment you read the title, it’s a quick reception that it’s a young lad’s love for his belle. And indeed, the film travels on the same theme, but takes a different course with its genre element.

Produced by Jayaraman and Eldred Kumar under the banner name of RS Infotainments, the film stars Atharva and Amala Paul in lead roles with G.V. Prakash’s musical score standing out as an important element in the movie.

In simple terms, Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal gives a strong note that it’s about positive and good vibration that will set things in one’s favour. Yup! Are you dreaming for something great to happen in your life? Just believe it will happen at whatever situations it maybe and of course your dreams will come true.

It was his hard work and passion towards profession that paved a great position for Ram (a) Rama Chandran to attain great success in profession. He makes a good living in an important position for a IT concern. He has a great reverence and adoration for his mother as she helped him a lot to achieve success in life. He becomes so dependent on his life that he cannot be away from her even for a second.

He heads to Bangalore for a National level software competition where he comes across a beautiful girl Charu (a) Charulatha (Amala Paul). They all work together as a team on a project of developing software that prevents sand and water from the radiations that comes from space and they win the approval of everyone.

On a critical juncture, Ram and Charu come across certain reprobates, who try to drug the IT gals in pub and Charu lodges complaint against them at police station. Things get wrong when Charu goes missing and Ram starts hunting down for the baddies, who caused her problem.

But is Charu really trapped by those miscreants or not? Find out rest on the screens that leaves you puzzled with an unexpected twist during intermission. An unknown secret about Ram’s character is unravelled that makes the screenplay more interesting till the end.

Hats off to Atharva!!! The young talent has gone over a great change in his style of performance. It’s an incredulous improvement indeed exceedingly surpassing. His way of emoting to various situations, dancing skills, stunts and almost in every frame, he makes a great way through. Amala Paul seems to have imitated Priyanka Chopra in many places. She gets a meaty role to perform her and has indeed done justice to her role. Santhanam’s comedy tracks are so tickling.

Musical score by G.V. Prakash is so enchanting and the songs are done with panache. The picturing by Sakthi is so colossal and every frame boasts of rich colour and splendour.

Screenplay by Eldred Kumar is so prodigious and he keeps us hooked towards the screening from beginning till end.

On the whole, Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal is a great attempt by the team of youngsters and will click in box office.

Verdict: Good work by entire team
