Nayanthara met the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and handed over a cheque for Rs. 5 Lakhs as her contribution to the CM's Relief Fund for the victims of Thane cyclone.

The actress now joins the list of Kollywood stars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Surya and Karthi who donated money for the welfare measures carried out in the Thane hit areas of Cuddalore and Villupuram districts.

The actress is now returning to films after her alleged break-up with her longtime boyfriend Prabhu Deva. She is now acting in an Ajith starring Tamil film and Nagurjuna starring Telugu film.
