Endemol India Pvt Ltd, a Mumbai-based production house which produces soaps, is about to team up with Chennai-based Nemichand Jhabhak Productions to produce this remake. Remember, several producers vied to lay their hands on "Kahaani" remake rights but eventually Nemichand Jhabhak bagged it.
Nemichand Jhabhak Productions, who earlier delivered successful Tamil films like "Naan Avan Illai" and "Anjathe", has approached couple of heroines and are awaiting their consent. Further, they are holding talks with top directors of Tamil cinema to launch the movie on a grand scale.
A formal announcement is awaited on this. "Kahaani" saw Vidya Balan as a pregnant woman in search of her missing husband in Kolkata during the Durga festivities.

'Kahaani' starring Vidya Balan, is a thriller directed and co-written by Sujoy Ghosh. Besides Vidya Balan, the film also features Parambrata Chatterjee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles.
