Like Vijay’s Thuppakki and Ajith’s Billa 2, the most expected film of Surya fans is Maatran. Maatran is a film which has Surya and Kajal Agarwal in the lead role.

K V Anand is directing this film while Harris Jayaraj is composing the music. A G S production house is producing this high budgeted film.

There is a tough competition among the distributors to acquire the rights of this film because Surya recent films have done very well at the box office.

One more added attraction of this film is that K V Anand and Surya are joining hands once again after Ayan. It is understood that the distributors are willing to pay Rs 80 Crores.

Apart from this Gemini has acquired the overseas rights for Rs 12 Crores. Even Ajith or Vijay films have not been sold for this rate at the overseas market. It is expected that the audio rights of Maatran will be acquired by Sony Audios.

The audio CD of this film is being released during last week of July and efforts are being made to release this film on 15th August but the shooting of this film is not completed and also graphic works are pending hence it is doubtful whether this film will hit the screens on 15th August.
