Vamsy Krishna - latest from Tollywood to Kollywood

His presence in Arun Vijay's Thadaiyara Thakka has made people sit up and take notice of the tall and menacing Vamsy Krishna who has played a silent baddie to perfection in the film.
kollyinsider.com caught up with the actor for a quick chat on his Tamil debut…

Says he, "I was born into a family of doctors but I graduated with a Business management degree and later pursued an MA in International Management in London. I worked there briefly before coming back to India"

The actor however has no filmi connections and acting happened 'just by chance' he says.

He recalls, " By chance I met director Gautam Menon at an airport and was offered a character in the Telugu remake of Khakka Khakka.. Since I was on a sabbatical from work, I took it up just for the heck of it. Eventually I got sucked into it since I loved what I was doing. After my first film I was offered the lead in director Teja ‘s film ” Oka v Chitram”. The actor went on to do films like Darling, Julayi and over 14 Telugu films to date.

Right now, the actor is busy with theatre visits to gauge the response to his Tamil debut. He grins, "I watched the movie along with the audience on the very first day. The response has been terrific and I got a very good feedback for my performance. Its an honor to be launched in the Tamil industry by 'Feather touch' and to portray a character as intense as Kumar."

The actor thanks director Magizh Thirumeni for the opportunity and says, "I saw an entirely new approach to acting thanks to him"

And how was it working with Arun Vijay? "He eats, drinks and breathes cinema! A very hardworking actor!" he exclaims.

So what future does he seek in Kollywood? "I want to do good characters, whatever they maybe," he signs off.
