Like a film story, an incident occurred where Manchu Manoj threatened to kill the ex-beau of his alleged girlfriend! Well, the Telugu actor reportedly got into a brawl with budding Tamil actor Mahat Raghavendra and assaulted him over actress Tapasee Pannu.

The buzz is that Tapasee Pannu was the bone of contention over the fight on Saturday (July 7). It is said that Tapasee and Mahat dated for over a year and broke up a couple of months ago. And of late, it was said that the actress was seeing Manchu Manoj and was staying with him in Hyderabad.

On Saturday night, the issue sparked a fight between Manchu Manoj and Mahat Raghavendra, who were once good friends. The Telugu actor and his friends beat up the Tamil actor after the duo had a heated verbal exchange over the actress.

Meanwhile, Mahat Raghavendra has reportedly lodged a complaint against Manchu Manoj. However, Lakshmi Manchu, the sister of Manoj, has denied any such incident and claimed that still her family shares good friendship with Mahat.

Manoj Manchu allegedly thrashed upcoming Tamil actor Mahat Raghavendra at an awards ceremony after party in Chennai early on Sunday morning.

Mahat had to be taken to the hospital after which he lodged an FIR with the police who booked non-bailable cases against Manoj under Sections 324, 341, 294B and 506-Part2.

It should be noted that Manoj is rumoured to be dating actress Tapsee Pannu while Mahat is her ex. Taapsee however in a recent interview denied such reports and Manoj too claimed she was a family friend.

Mahat said, “I was invited to a Filmfare after party on Saturday... During the party I was talking to a friend of mine away from the crowd when Manoj Manchu and three of his friends interrupted our conversation and started hitting me without any explanations.

They kept assaulting me for several minutes; I was hit on my face, stomach and my lower body. I even received a blow to my throat. The incident took place at around 4am on Sunday.

After I was assaulted, I called one of my friends who took me to a hospital. I was treated for a swollen eye and severe pain in my right jaw.

The doctors in the emergency ward said that I was lucky as the blow to my throat could have easily dislocated my jaw. It took me seven hours to be treated at the hospital and I have to be under medication for the next five days. I had lodged a complaint with the police.”

No one at the party, however, could confirm about the brawl as it apparently took place outside the party area.

On Monday afternoon, however, Manoj’s family spoke to Mahat’s side and sorted out the issue amicably. In a statement Manoj said, “Mahat and I have been good pals since ages; recently there was a misunderstanding between us which we have cleared up.

But unfortunately I have come to hear about some rumours being spread about our so called ‘fight’. In fact, Mahat is hurt reading these reports and I have to apologise for the agony caused. I want to make it very clear that there are no differences between us.”

One wonders what the reason behind Manoj’s outburst was. Could it have been something to do with Tapsee?
