PVP Cinemas has a winner in SS Rajamouli's Naan Ee. The film has got critical acclaim and box-office success. It is the first bi-lingual (Eega in Telugu) to work big in Tamil.
The fantasy revenge story starring Sudeep, Samantha, Nani and a CG made Fly has taken a flying opening at the TN box-office.

Naan Ee has grossed Rs 4,01,61,564 from 208 screens in Tamil Nadu in its opening weekend (July 6 to 8).

Naan Ee has got a share of approximately Rs 1.70 Cr after 30 % entertainment tax and theatre share deduction. It is a good share for a film with no big stars and an unknown director as far as Tamil audiences are concerned.

SS Rajamouli is the first of the new generation Telugu directors who has made an impact in Tamil cinema.

Shankar the showman of Kollywood watched the film at Devi theatre in Chennai and said: ” Super film!”

The film which started slowly has picked up over the weekend and is a hit with family audiences. It is doing best at the multiplexes.
