Popular Malayalam filmmaker Vinayan is a name to reckon with in Kollywood too for his movie Kasi which featured Vikram in a pivotal and a complex character won hi greater accolades.


Known for his romantic and family dramas, Vinayan has opted to go the other way for his next venture titled Nankam Pirai.

It is a horror film to be made in 3D format, perhaps going in with the latest trend.
A grand muhurrat was held in Chennai on Sunday in which whose of who of Tamil cinema took part.

The movie is based on horror novel Dracula, written by Bram Stoker. It is produced by Sreeraj for Sudha Screens.

This film features renowned technicians from India and also Hollywood. 3D DI colorist of Avatar and Harry Potter, Vanessa Taylor (UK) and 3D video consultant Diana Sylvester (UK) are part of the crew.

The cast includes Prabhu, Nasser, Thilakan, Ganja Karuppu and Manobala along with the new comers Aryan, who plays the hero and Sudheer, who plays the central character Dracula.
