It is well known to us all that Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are good friends. From the beginning they have had an unwritten agreement (sort of) that they will not get into each other's way.


It appeared that Vishwaroopam and Kochadaiyaan release may clash and so Rajini and Kamal had a meeting and they decided on a course of action to avoid any clash.

We understand that it has been decided that Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam will release first in October while Rajini's Kochadaiyaan which still has extensive post-production work pending will follow at the fag end of the year.

Kamal Haasan confirmed this to the media, "We've made a pact not to clash. It would do no good to either of us to release films together. It's because of economics that Rajini and I have not come together since our mentor K Balachander's Ninaithale Inikkum in 1979."
