Kumki will steal the show! - Prabhu Solomon

Solomon spending time for perfection in Kumki to awe the viewers in theatres
Solomon sure of a good show by Kumki in theatres
After directing the award-winning and critically-acclaimed Mynaa a couple of years back in 2010, director Prabhu Solomon is back with his next directorial venture titled Kumki.
Kumki marks the debut as hero of Vikram Prabhu, son of actor Prabhu, opposite another debutant in Lakshmi Menon, who is debuting as heroine in Kollywood with this film.

The film’s audio was launched a few weeks back in the presence of superstar Rajinikanth and ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan.  Sources close to Solomon say that the film’s theatrical release is getting delayed due to the craving for ‘perfection’ by the director.  The graphics work in connection with the film are yet to be completed, it is reported.

The film’s trailer and the songs have met with a great response from the movie-buffs and the music-lovers.  Produced by director-producer Lingusamy’s Thirupathy Brothers, Kumki has Vikram Prabhu essaying the role of a mahout and deals with in detail about the increasing incidents of elephants leaving the safe confines of the wild forest and entering the countryside and the cities.

Deviating from the usual formula, Solomon has set up the climatic sequence in such a manner that it centres around the elephant and not the hero or the heroine.  A couple of elephants ‘fight’ with other in the climax which is being made in a very ‘practical’ manner using the computer-generated graphics.
Kumki would be releasing on Deepavali along with Vijay’s Thuppakki, Simbu’s Vaalu and Karthi’s Alex Pandian.
The climax of Kumki would be a stand-out sequence, it is further reported.  The elephant, which plays a major role in the film, ‘dies’ in the climax and it would surely make the audience cry their hearts out, the crew assures.
